Whats the difference between alkaline and alkalized?
Alkaline water can be created through adding chemicals such as sodium bicarbonate to alter the natural pH. Aside from neutralising stomach acid there are no scientifically tested health benefits to adding sodium bicarbonate to your water.
Alkalized water is not the same. It has gone through a process called electrolysis where the water passes over electrically charged platinum & titanium plates. This mimics what happens when lightning hits water.
It causes the molecule to restructure causing molecular hydrogen to detach from the H2O molecules.
This is where the health benefits come from. The molecular hydrogen that is now present in the water. Not the alkaline state of the water which is a side effect of the elecrolysis.
You won't often hear us refer to Kangen Water as alkaline or alkalized. Yes its pH makes it alkaline. Yes it is alkalized because of the electrolysis process it goes through.
But the alkalinity of the water has little impact on your health. It would be neutralised in the stomach due to the acidity of the acid there.
The molecular hydrogen that we referred to above is where the health benefits come from and this cannot be created artificially by adding sodium bicarbonate.
Next time you're in the supermarket and see 'alkaline water' on the shelves - steer clear! If you check the ingredients list you will likely see chemicals there as thats the only way for it to show as an alkaline pH for months on end while its being shipped to stores & sat on shelves.
Doesn't alkaline water get neutralised when it hits stomach acid?
Yes.
The pH has very little to do with the health benefits associated with drinking Kangen Water.
The molecular hydrogen that is created during the pH change of the water is what continues further on in the body. This is what causes the health benefits we see in the thousands of scientific studies done on electrolysed-reduced water.
What is the competition like against Kangen Water?
An independent study conducted by MAIA Research found that Enagic holds the majority share, 19.95%, of Water Ioniser sales around the world.
The next best company that sells domestically holds just 3% of the industry.
Enagic machines are being used by celebrities all around the world as well as for olympic teams and sports teams. They are also the only Water Ionisers being used in hospitals as Enagic is the ONLY Water Ioniser on the market that is of Medical Grade with not 1 but 3 ISO certificates.
You can most certainly buy a cheaper Water Ioniser.
But you cannot buy a better quality Water Ioniser that is trusted by more people and will stand the test of time.
Is it easy to install?
There are step by step instructions for you to install this yourself.It takes 10 minutes. Your child could do it.

What are the ongoing costs?
You replace the filter once per year for £100. You replace the Electrolysis Enhancer (to the make 11.5pH strong alkaline and 2.5pH strong acidic water) twice a year for £4 each time. We recommend you send your machine back to Enagic every 1-2 years for a deep clean which costs around £40 depending on country.
What does it filter?
Kangen Machines are not water filters. They are water ionisers whose purpose is to produce molecular hydrogen.
They will filter out sediment, microplastics, foreign particles, chlorine & heavy metals. During the electrolysis process the fluoride is almost entirely removed also. Depending on your country you may also choose to get pre-filters that filter out further contaminants.
Can it go under the counter rather than on top?
Yes!
We have full set up instructions on how to use your machine under the counter. It will involve buying a new tap and unless you're very good with DIY you'll likely need a plumber to assist in this. We can absolutely help you install your new Kangen Machine under the counter instead of on-top.
Can I travel with my Kangen Machine?
You can!
As Enagic is a Medical Device it can go through airport security free of charge as additional hand baggage - as well as the water - as many litre's as you'd like!! There are medical certificates inside the box when it gets delivered to your home and the machine fits inside most carry-on cases to take on the plane with you (though you do need to put the filter & electrolysis enhancer in your checked luggage - as its over 100ml).
As it is so easy to install you simply need to bring the tap adaptors with you and it'll fit on almost any kitchen tap along your travels.
What we tend to do is ask our airbnb host or hotel to send us a photo of the tap to see which adaptors are needed and whether its compatible.
Make sure to check the waters drinkability in the country you're going to. Most of Europe is drinkable but further afield you may need to bring some pre-filters with you.
Can I use a Kangen Machine if i'm in rented accomodation?
You absolutely can!
The machines don't damage the taps at all. They simply screw on and off of the tap. You just need a plug somewhere near to the kitchen sink and a space close by to prop up the device.
Entirely renter friendly.
I've seen cheaper Kangen Machines being sold on eBay, why shouldn't I just buy one of those?
There is 1 very important reason for why you should never buy a Kangen Machine from a site that isn't Enagic: you may have it recalled from you.
When people sell their machines on eBay, Facebook etc. you have no guarantee that the person finished paying the Enagic-Payments on their product.
You have to send your machine in to Enagic every 1-2 years for a deep clean. During this process the serial number is checked. If your machine has been marked as 'bought but not paid for' Enagic will recall that product and you will be left out of pocket.
On top of this, even if the person you're buying from has purchased out right you have no way of knowing how that machine has been treated up until the point you considered buying.
And lastly, when you eventually have somebody interested in buying a Kangen Machine you'll be unable to sell them one and earn commission on that sale because you were not the original purchaser of the product and it isn't registered in your name.
We highly recommend saving up for a little longer and purchasing your machine yourself so that you can have total faith it is yours forever, you can be the one to take great care of it and you can go on to make commission if you recommend the products to anybody else moving forwards.
Is it safe to drink Kangen Water while pregnant?
Yes, it is totally safe to drink Kangen Water while pregnant.
Is it safe for children to drink Kangen Water?
Yes, it is totally safe for children to drink Kangen Water. We do recommend starting them on 8.5pH then every couple weeks upping it by 0.5pH so that they don't suffer too many detox symptoms.
Baby formula, however, is recommended to be made with the 7.0pH Clean Kangen Water,
